The NYSED Office of Standards, Assessment, and Reporting (SAR) has released the 2009-10 revised NYS 3-8 testing schedule. They have also posted guidance with regard to how the mathematics assessments will handle the pre-March/post-March curriculum framework. They can be found online at http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/sar/ as well as on our Resources page.
At their Monday June 29, 2009 meeting in Albany, the District Superintendents met with Johanna Duncan-Poitier. It seems very clear that the grades 3-8 ELA and Math exams will be administered in May in 2010. The District Superintendents spoke firmly about the need for precise dates to be identified and released.
Please see the attached file from Johanna Duncan-Poitier, for a Special Edition P-16 News and Notes. In it, there is important information regarding the 3-8 Mathematics and ELA Assessment Schedule as decided on by the Board of Regents.
